Once again, following tradition as Carnival approaches, the parish of Herencia is preparing for the annual sale of “ánimas” – traditional sweets of the area – in order to raise funds for the Hunger Campaign run by the NGO Manos Unidas.
Cáritas Parroquial Herencia, together with various parish groups, has been organising different activities, with one of the highlights being the traditional sale of typical sweets during the “Ofertorio de Ánimas” ceremony.
For this reason, anyone who wishes to purchase sweets from the sale of ánimas can now place their orders by contacting any member of Cáritas Parroquial Herencia or via telephone/WhatsApp on 678685501 or 670624587.
Those interested will be able to choose from eggless “hornazos”, or “hornazos” with 6, 4, 3, or 2 eggs, “rosca utrera”, “barquillos” or typical Carnival “rosquillas” from Herencia, while at the same time supporting the project of Manos Unidas.
Orders can be collected on the afternoon of Monday 20th February from 5.00 to 8.00 pm at the parish centre, and on Tuesday 21st February, “Martes del Ofertorio”, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, also at the parish centre.
