The City Council of Herencia and the Cultural Association Banda de Cornetas y Tambores los Siete Pasos have taken a new step towards strengthening the cultural life of the municipality with the renewal of their annual agreement. In a ceremony held on the morning of Friday, February 16, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting music as a vital element for the cultural dynamism of the locality.
Herencia’s mayor, Sergio García-Navas, and Bautista Sánchez-Paulete, representative of the musical group, signed this agreement, symbolizing not only collaboration but also mutual appreciation between the local government and the community’s artists. Through this agreement, the City Council will grant a subsidy of 1200 euros to support the band’s activities throughout the year, until the end of 2024.
As part of their contribution to the community, the musical group Los Siete Pasos has committed to enriching the cultural agenda of the municipality with three significant performances. These include the Easter proclamation, the Resurrected procession, and the celebration of Santiago, events that highlight key moments in Herencia’s festive calendar and offer residents and visitors high-value musical experiences.

Mayor Sergio García-Navas emphasized the importance of maintaining a varied and high-quality cultural offer in Herencia. “The existence of this Music Band allows for rich alternation in the different events scheduled throughout the year, and makes it possible for more musicians from our population to live their passion for music,” García-Navas stated.
