Bodega Vega Bolsas receives the annual visit from the City Council of Herencia

Every year, representatives from the Herencia City Council make their annual visit to Vega Bolsas Winery as part of a tradition. The purpose of this visit is to get a first-hand look at the current state of the winery’s wines, which are currently in the process of being made after the recent grape harvest.

Traditional Process and Innovations

Vega Bolsas Winery is known for its traditional winemaking process, emphasizing care and dedication in producing their wines. This year, in addition to their renowned cencibel red wine, the winery is introducing a new product: a rosé wine which will soon be available for tasting.

Authorities Present

The City Council delegation was led by:

  • Sergio García-Navas, Mayor of Herencia
  • María Eugenia Díaz-Pacheco, Councilor of Rural Development
  • José Manuel Bolaños, Provincial Deputy and Councilor of Economic Promotion

The municipal representatives were welcomed by Pedro Iniesta, the winery’s manager, who updated them on the current harvest results and the destinations of their renowned wines.

Commercialization and Recognition

During the visit, it was highlighted that Vega Bolsas wines have gained great recognition, mainly sold in the hospitality sector in Málaga and Madrid. This underscores the quality and popularity of the winery’s products beyond their original region.

The annual visit of the City Council to Vega Bolsas Winery not only keeps a local tradition alive, but also strengthens the ties between the municipal administration and one of the key players in the region’s wine industry, emphasizing the industry’s importance for Herencia’s economy and culture.
