More than 250 people gathered last Monday to enjoy a magical evening on the Night Hiking Route “What fills the moon”, organized by the Youth Department of the local City Council. The activity, which has become a highly anticipated annual event, combines hiking with a charitable and cultural purpose.
Mayor Sergio García-Navas, along with the Sports Councilor, Serafín Tajuelo, participated in the route, joining children, youth, and adults on a journey that crossed the streets of the municipality and culminated at the first mill of the Sierra de San Cristóbal. This edition of the route had a prominent charitable component: all the money raised will be allocated to projects in the Sahara, contributing to impactful causes in the region.
One of the most anticipated parts of the event was the show at the mill, where the renowned actor Franz Gómez delivered an emotional monologue titled “The guardian of the mill”. The performance, which surprised and moved the audience, became the highlight of the night, adding a cultural and artistic touch to the day.
The organizers and participants thanked all attendees for their enthusiasm and commitment. The full moon, as in previous editions, provided a magical setting that helped create a special atmosphere during the activity.
This event not only succeeded in bringing the community together for a common cause but also demonstrated the route’s ability to blend sport, solidarity, and culture in a unique experience. The organization is already preparing for next year, hoping to surpass the success of this edition and continue contributing to good causes. Until next year!
