The Herencia City Council is promoting the transformation of the fairground and its surroundings through the recovery of a new green area. Mayor Sergio García-Navas, along with the Councillor for Environment and Gardens, José Manuel Bolaños Viso, recently inspected the space located near the sports areas and schools, in what represents the first phase of remodeling and modernizing the area.
The creation of this new green space, which is part of the complete reorganization plan of the fairground proposed in the electoral program of the current Government team, aims to turn this area into a sports and leisure city. Thanks to the efforts of municipal gardeners, over 2000 square meters have been transformed, including grass and varieties of clover that give new life to this busy space.
José Manuel Bolaños, the councillor of the area, pointed out that the investment for this project amounted to 8000 euros, achieved with own funds and resources. This first phase is the beginning of a broader plan to urbanize and pave the area, providing new value to an unused area.
In a few months, a comprehensive project will be carried out to create a modern and revitalized fairground, in line with the vision of a sports and leisure city for all residents and visitors of Herencia.
