Herencia presents ‘VivHer 2024’, a festival that celebrates music and the arts with over 30 performances.

Herencia is getting ready for a grand celebration this summer to mark the new edition of ‘VivHer 2024’, a festival that promises to fill the streets of the city with music, humor, and art. With over thirty events scheduled for the upcoming weekends, this multidisciplinary festival has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha, as well as various local associations and brotherhoods.

This year, ‘VivHer’ comes with many new additions, including the first Festival of Chirigotas and Humor, and the inauguration of the Youth Week, reaffirming Herencia’s commitment to high-quality culture and economic stimulation, both for artists and the hospitality sector of the municipality.

The festival’s agenda includes both local talents and nationally renowned artists. Highlighted events include the performance of Los Jefes on June 20, followed by Antonio Rada and Ángel de Aurelia on July 7. Additionally, traditional neighborhood parties such as that of the Christ of Mercy will be enhanced with a special tribute night on September 14 to celebrate the renovation of its hermitage.

The festival will also pay homage to its carnival spirit with the Carnival Associations Festival on July 20, featuring performances by notable groups like the Sheriff Chirigota and local bands like Pelendengues and Kanalla. This event will precede the Summer Carnival scheduled for August 10.

Among other national artists set to attend ‘VivHer’ are Karmento, Ana Najera, Coria Castillo, and the Humor Troubadour. The festival is not limited to music only, as it will also include exhibitions, contests, solidarity events, and the VI Heritage Night. Additionally, on August 3, the Municipal Pool will host a nighttime swim to the rhythm of DJ Isaac Romero’s music.

Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, Councilor for Culture, has expressed his enthusiasm for the diversity of the festival’s offerings: “We have considered all tastes and ages so that each person can find their space in ‘VivHer’, enjoying Herencia and the warmth of its people.”

Herencia is gearing up for a summer full of culture, entertainment, and community, inviting residents and visitors to enjoy each of the scheduled events.
