In an extraordinary municipal plenary session held this Wednesday, the City Council of Herencia has given the green light to a significant budget modification amounting to 137,000 euros. This decision will allow the council to undertake new actions for which the allocated credit in the current budget was insufficient.
Source of funds
The modification was made possible thanks to two main factors:
An increase in revenue collected above the totals expected in the current budget.
The net treasury surplus resulting from the settlement of the 2022 fiscal year.
It is worth noting that the rest of the expected revenues have been collected as usual, enabling this budget extension to take place.
Use of funds
The additional 137,000 euros will mainly be allocated to the following areas:
Sports: The transportation service will be reinforced due to the increase in registrations in different sports modalities.
Training: The computer services at the Training Center, which have been in use for 16 years, will be renewed.
Municipal services: A new animal collection service will be implemented by Comsermancha.
Culture: The aim is to maintain the quality leisure offer, taking into account market fluctuations in terms of ticket prices for musical performances.
Infrastructure maintenance: Funds will be allocated for the maintenance and conservation of municipal buildings, including repairs and improvements. Additionally, a trailer necessary for the Gardening service will be purchased.
This budget modification reflects the commitment of the Herencia City Council to maintain and improve municipal services, adapting to the changing needs of the population and ensuring efficient management of public resources.
