Improve the security and aesthetics of one of the busiest entrances in Herencia.

The Herencia City Council has continued with the Beautification Plan that has been implemented in the municipality to improve the appearance of the most crowded areas. This time, the works are being carried out on the left side of the exit of Avenida de la Encarnación to the comarcal road CM-3167 that connects Herencia with Villafranca de los Caballeros and the Vineyards highway, CM-42.

The project includes the regeneration of the existing earth slope on the left side, which requires the removal of the vegetative layer to expand the treatment area. In addition, the slope and the ditch will be profiled, as well as the soil preparation for planting different species of ground cover plants and rosebushes. For this purpose, a drip irrigation system will be installed.

In the initial area of the project, where there is no slope, a sidewalk will be built that will connect two pedestrian crossings, one existing and another of new creation, and a flat rectangular garden area adjacent to the sidewalk.

Mayor Sergio García-Navas and Urbanism Councilor Francisco Gallego de la Sacristana have supervised the start of the works together with the municipal architect. These works are subsidized by the Provincial Government of Ciudad Real at a cost of 21,600 euros. As García-Navas has explained, the project has a dual purpose, as well as improving the aesthetics of the area, it also aims to increase the safety of the road.

With this initiative, the Herencia City Council demonstrates its commitment to improving the urban environment and its interest in beautifying the busiest areas of the municipality. In addition, by improving the safety of the road, it contributes to ensuring the well-being of citizens and visitors who transit through it.
