Last Monday, the first meeting of the Fair and Festivities Commission 2023 was held, thus beginning the preparations for the festivities that will take place from September 20th to 24th in Herencia. The main objective of this meeting was to establish the initial lines of work for the preparation of the September fair.
The Commission is composed of various groups, associations, and collectives that work together with the Festivities and Culture Departments of the municipality. Their mission is to develop a program that can meet the demand and expectations of the people of Herencia for these important dates on the local calendar.
The meeting was chaired and coordinated by Sergio García Navas, Mayor of Herencia, who also assumes responsibility for the festivities. García Navas directly handles all matters related to this area, in addition to his own responsibilities as Mayor. Alongside him, Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, Councilor for Culture, assisted in directing this first contact of the Commission.
This meeting marks the beginning of a collaborative process that aims to offer festivities that represent and celebrate the identity of Herencia. The upcoming meetings will focus on finalizing the details of the program, selecting the activities that will be part of the 2023 Fair and Festivities.
