According to Aitor Gallego, councilor of the area, “The Popular University continues to adapt to the demands of the residents of Herencia, evolving with time and remaining that core of cultural education where everyone is part of the project.” With this philosophy, the University has designed a program that includes workshops on art and culture, as well as courses on health, technology, and emotional well-being.
Throughout its four decades, the Popular University has been a pillar in the promotion of culture and education in Herencia. “This anniversary is not only a celebration of our history, but also a look towards the future, a renewed commitment to innovation, community, and inclusion,” added Gallego.
Among the novelties of the new course are workshops on the use of smartphones and social media, courses on emotional well-being and mental health, and intergenerational activities that promote collaboration between young and old.
