Herencia, a town that hosts one of the most colorful and bustling festivals, is getting ready for its Summer Carnival. This summer edition of its National Tourist Interest Festival is one of the most anticipated events in the festive calendar, and it takes place when summer reaches its midpoint. This year, the festivities will take place on the second weekend of August, specifically on Saturday the 12th.
From 10pm, the streets of Herencia will be filled with Perlé, Gigantes, Cabezudos, Jinetas, and entertainment groups, bringing joy and fun to the municipality. Local residents and visitors will enjoy the magic that complements the magnitude of the February Carnival.
The Summer Carnival has become a benchmark in the region, attracting audiences of all ages. The day is an explosion of creativity and fantasy through costumes. The festivities will culminate in the Summer Auditorium, where music will take center stage of the night, with the Mandrágora orchestra and the mobile disco by Chus Nadal Dj.
The mayor of Herencia, Sergio García-Navas, extended an invitation to everyone to participate in this massive party. According to the mayor, the Summer Carnival started as a popular initiative and has become a prominent event on the summer agenda. “It is a showcase of our municipality, our hospitality, and the most popular customs and traditions. It is the hallmark of Herencia, making us once again the national epicenter of the Carnival,” García-Navas expressed.
