The vibrant activity at the Municipal Sports Center in Herencia did not cease this Saturday, becoming the perfect stage for the closing of the Young Promises futsal league. During the summer of 2023, this competition has brought together more than 200 children of different ages, who with effort, dedication, and passion, have demonstrated their talent on the field.
The success of this tournament is not only measured by the number of participants or the quality of the matches, but also by the unwavering commitment of the monitors, many of whom are parents of the young players. Thanks to their guidance and training, the teams have been able to advance and grow in each confrontation. Their contribution to the league has been essential and, therefore, deserves special recognition.
But, the soul and heart of any sports competition also lie in the stands. The relatives of the players have been a fundamental pillar during the tournament, unconditionally supporting the teams in each match and showing exemplary behavior, always advocating for fair play and respect.
The highlight of the closing came with the medal ceremony, a always emotional moment that recognizes the efforts of all participants. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Serafín Tajuelo, Sports Councilor of the Herencia City Council, and Lola Fernandez, also Councilor of the City Council. They were joined by the Queens of the fairs and festivals of Herencia and Jesús Díaz-Pavón, president of the DXT Herencia Association, all witnesses and participants of the sporting fervor of the town.
Undoubtedly, the Young Promises futsal league has left a mark in 2023, and the echo of its achievements will resonate until the next edition. See you next year!
