The deadline for the submission of entries for the III Women’s Key Painting Contest closed on March 6, and the jury has awarded the prize of 500 euros. The jury, composed of painting specialists Antonio José Fernández Baíllo and María del Señor Fernández-Amaro Díaz-Pavón, has chosen Gonzalo Romero Navarro as the winner of the contest for his work “El Reflejo.”
The award ceremony will take place at the commemorative event on Women’s Day on March 10 at 5:30 pm in the Courtyard of the Town Hall. In addition to the winner, Alejandro Galán Vázquez, Jessica González Prado, and M.ª Dolores Rodero González have also been selected as finalists.
A special thanks to the 27 artists who have participated in this contest, and congratulations to the winner. The works of all participants will be exhibited in the Courtyard of the Casa de Herencia during the months of April and May, and can be visited from 9 am to 2 pm.
The III Women’s Key Painting Contest is an initiative of the Herencia City Council to promote and make the artistic creation of women in the municipality and surrounding areas visible. This contest is an opportunity to recognize the talent and creativity of female artists, as well as to promote culture and art in our community.
