This past Sunday, with the participation of approximately 50 cyclists, the Solidarity Cycle Tour ended successfully at the Herencia Municipal Sports Center. The sporting event was organized for a charitable purpose, benefiting “El sueño de Vicky” (Vicky’s Dream), a foundation dedicated to childhood cancer research.
The race was organized by the Peña Oscar Laguna, in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Service of the Herencia City Council. Solidarity and the spirit of sports merged in an event full of energy and emotion, with a common goal: to support a noble cause.
Sergio García-Navas, the mayor of the town, made an appearance at the Plaza de España, the designated place for the start of the race. From there, he accompanied the participants and organizers, offering his support and sharing the enthusiasm and hope that the Solidarity Cycle Tour generated.
The organization of the event extended its gratitude to all the participants. The participation of each of the cyclists contributed to the success of this charitable event. The response and solidarity of the community towards this event demonstrate the generous and committed spirit of the inhabitants of Herencia, who did not hesitate to pedal for such a necessary cause.
