The courtyard of the Herencia City Hall has been the stage for the presentation of “ViVher 2023”, the “Villa de Herencia” culture and arts festival, scheduled to flood the town with entertainment and activity during this summer. The mayor, Sergio García-Navas, personally unveiled the details of the events and performances that will make up the cultural agenda in the coming months. The ViVher 2023 programme, full of variety and quality, offers a series of leisure events that add up to more than 30 appointments, from nationally and locally recognized concerts to monologues and art exhibitions. The festival will begin on June 16 with a concert by La Pegatina in the Plaza de España, which will be the epicenter of this year’s activities. However, it will not be the only place where the different performances will take place. The squares around the town’s hermitages, with their traditional neighborhood parties, and the Municipal Park, which will host different painting and photography competitions, will also be key players in the ViVher 2023 cultural agenda. García-Navas highlighted that it is expected that this summer’s activities “will revitalize social life in different parts of the town and with a program for all audiences”. In addition to offering fun to residents and tourists during the hot summer of La Mancha, the festival also aims to support the cultural and hospitality sector, which are essential for the economic development of Herencia. This year, the festival’s events will cover a wide range of shows, from Guillermo and his flamenco group concert on August 27 to the performance of Grison, a monologist and beatboxer, on July 8. The agenda also includes traditional appointments such as the XIX Storytelling Marathon, the Grandparents’ Dinner, and the Summer Carnival, which has gained great popularity in recent editions.
