The IV Night of Sports in Herencia was celebrated last Friday at the Summer Auditorium, an event that paid tribute to all athletes who participated during the 2022/2023 season in the various activities of the Municipal Sports Schools. The event also served as a stage for the presentation of awards granted by the Local Sports and Physical Activity Council in seven categories.
The night was marked by the presence of numerous clubs and representatives of sports collectives, athletes’ families, and other guests who attended this emotional event. We want to thank all those present for their participation in this special night, which not only celebrated the effort and dedication of athletes, but also the support and involvement of the entire community in the development of local sports.
Among the awardees were: Individual Athlete Award: Inmaculada García-Navas González-Román and Lorena Cobos Escribano. Collective Sports Award: Maintenance Gymnastics students from the Municipal Sports Schools. Sports Trajectory Award: Francisco Martínez Gómez-Camacho “Pocho”. Sports Support Award: Fontanería y Calefacción El Puri. Values in Sports Award: Jose Ramón Mateos de Arriba Galán. Inclusion in Sports Award: Elena Tajuelo Corrales. Special Sports Mention: Anna Yeghiazaryan, Celia Martín-Consuegra Gallego de la Sacristana, and Lorena Cobos Escribano.
We want to extend our sincere congratulations to all the awardees in this edition, as well as to all the athletes of our Municipal Sports Schools for their effort and dedication throughout this season.
The IV Night of Sports has been a clear sign of recognition for the sports spirit of the town of Herencia, and the confirmation that local sports continues to be an important pillar in the life of this community. Congratulations to all for a year full of sports successes!
