The SMD BM Quijote Herencia junior women’s team began their journey yesterday in a completely new competition for them, the Copa de España (Cup of Spain). After playing three group stage matches, our young athletes managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
During the group stage, SMD BM Quijote Herencia showed exceptional performance, achieving two significant victories. The first triumph was against Rayito Salinero, whom they defeated with a score of 2-0. The second won match was against Montequinto, a match that ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of our team.
Despite suffering a defeat against Las Peris, with a score of 0-2, the young players of SMD BM Quijote Herencia demonstrated a great level of competitiveness that allowed them to advance to the next phase of the tournament.
This achievement places our athletes among the top eight junior women’s teams in Spain. This milestone marks a significant moment for the Herencia team and demonstrates the talent and effort that these young players are willing to invest in their passion for sports.
