Solidarity bath night at the municipal swimming pool of Herencia

Herencia has announced an innovative initiative that will allow residents to enjoy a night swim at the Municipal Pool. The activity will take place on Saturday, August 5th, starting at 10 PM, providing citizens with a refreshing alternative to combat the high summer temperatures.

In response to user demands, the City Council decided to keep the pool open until 2 AM, offering not only a new leisure option but also a space for the enjoyment of youth and the general public.

The entrance fee is a symbolic cost of 2 euros, and all money raised will be donated to the Spanish Association against Cancer. In the words of Mayor Sergio García-Navas, “this initiative arises as a result of active listening process from this Government team towards the residents. It aims to provide a space for family fun and with friends during a summer night, all in a unique environment like the Municipal Pool and with a charitable purpose.”

It is important to highlight that this is not the only activity that takes place at the Municipal Pool during the summer. Throughout the three months it remains open, numerous aquatic activities and courses such as swimming, aquatic pilates, and maternal swimming are carried out. Additionally, improvements are made to the facilities every year, such as the recently completed ones in the pools, the increased shaded areas, and the creation of a new beach handball court. Without a doubt, the Herencia Municipal Pool positions itself as a hub for recreational and leisure activities for the local community.
