This summer, the Municipal Ludoteca of Herencia has once again established itself as a crucial space for leisure and the development of the youngest. During the current season, the ludoteca welcomes 65 children, who are making the most of this valuable resource.
The Mayor of Herencia, Sergio García-Navas, personally visited the ludoteca on Tuesday, August 8th. As part of his commitment to the town’s welfare resources, the mayor has been closely observing the activities that are carried out to promote the reconciliation and enjoyment of children during the summer.
The Municipal Ludoteca is open throughout the year and, during the summer months, offers leisure and learning activities from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. During these hours, children develop various skills, participate in free play sessions, and enjoy leisure time with their peers, an excellent opportunity to socialize and make new friends.
In recent days, the ludoteca participants have been enthusiastically preparing their costumes for the upcoming Summer Carnival, which will be held on Saturday, August 12th.
The ludoteca caters to children aged 4 to 7, and its extensive activity program aims to cover all childhood and youth ages during the summer holidays. With this initiative, the Town Council provides children with an educational and recreational option that complements other scheduled activities.
The Town Council of Herencia has made a concerted effort in recent months to ensure that all children have access to pedagogical tools. Whether through the Corresponsables service, the Summer School, different sports camps, or swimming courses, the goal is to promote the development of new skills and abilities during the summer months. As García-Navas emphasized during his visit, these initiatives also aim to help families reconcile work and family life.
