From Sports Schools to the First Division of Women’s Handball

Recently, the athlete from Herencia Inmaculada García-Navas González-Román began an exciting new phase in her sports career. She has started playing for Conservas Orbe Rubensa Porriño, a team in the first division of women’s handball in Spain, the Iberdrola League.

Inmaculada, better known as Inma, has come a long way to reach this point. She began her sports journey in the Municipal Sports Schools of Herencia, progressing through all the age categories. Additionally, she has been a standout player in the local handball club.

But this new step in her career does not mean abandoning her sporting roots. Inma will combine her participation in the Galician team’s first team with playing for the development team in the Honor Plata Division and the youth team. This combination of roles will be a challenge, but also a unique opportunity for growth and development as an athlete.

From her hometown, the well-wishes for Inma have been pouring in. We want to wish her the best of luck in this new phase of her career. This is an exciting moment for her, her family, and the sports community of Herencia, and we hope it is the beginning of a long and successful career in professional handball. Good luck, champion!
