The sporting spirit and emotional tribute came together yesterday during the V Memorial Jesús Peño of the Herencia CF Veterans. On a date marked on the calendar of all football lovers in the locality, the local team faced off in a fierce match against the Villartense CF Veterans, who traveled to Herencia to be part of this commemorative event.
Both teams displayed fair and committed play on the field, honoring the figure of Jesús Peño, who is being paid tribute to with this tournament. In the end, the local team, Herencia CF Veterans, managed to tilt the balance in their favor, becoming champions of this edition of the memorial. However, beyond the result, what was truly relevant was the spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect shown by both squads.
The trophy presentation was attended by Serafín Tajuelo, Councilor of Sports, who expressed his satisfaction with the development of the event and the high level of football displayed.
