Last Friday, the Herencia Nursery School received a special visit: Mayor Sergio García-Navas and Education Councillor, Lola Fernández. Accompanied by the center coordinator, Maria José Díaz Meco, and the team of municipal workers, they toured the facilities where the youngest children in the town begin their educational journey.
For this academic year, 90 children have been enrolled and distributed across seven classrooms. While many of them have already immersed themselves in the school environment, some of the newcomers are still in an adaptation period, familiarizing themselves with their new surroundings and routine.
However, learning at the Nursery School goes beyond conventional classrooms. The children will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops, including Art, English, Psychomotor Skills, Heuristic Play, and Music Workshop, among others. These activities are designed not only to teach, but also to enhance the physical, mental, and social abilities of the children. Through these experiences, holistic development is fostered, always in close contact with the family and community environment.
It is worth noting that this prestigious municipal service enrolls children born in the years 2021, 2022, and up to July 2023. It is evident that the Herencia Nursery School has established itself as a benchmark in early education, advocating for a holistic and participatory approach in the formation of the future citizens of the town.
