Francisco Arráez showcases his graphic and sculptural artwork in Campo de Criptana.

“Relaciones” is the name of the upcoming exhibition by artist Francisco Arráez, which will open on Saturday, September 30th at 12:00 pm at the municipal museum “El Pósito” in Campo de Criptana (Ciudad Real). This dual exhibition of graphic art and sculpture can be visited until October 29th, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

About Francisco Arráez

Arráez is a sculptor of recognized prestige and great importance for Herencia (Ciudad Real), as in addition to being a professor at the “Hermóngenes Rodríguez” High School, he is the author of three public monuments in the same town: the “Mujer Maltratada” sculpture, the sculpture of “Agustín Úbeda,” and “El Pensador,” the latter being an icon of the educational center where he teaches.

It is also worth noting that Francisco Arráez was the author of one of the most emblematic awards given in the town: “Herencia Solidaria,” which is materialized in a solid bronze figure with a patinated finish in two tones on an acrylic base representing two linked hands. One, in a supporting gesture, opens as a walking stick; the other, accepting the help offered by the first, grasps it firmly, in a clear gesture of solidarity and sincere support for the needy. This work uses two different materials and two different tones to symbolize the differences between human beings, which do not prevent relationships as pure and transparent as the acrylic base on which the figure rests.
