Civil Protection of Herencia is trained in first aid and healthcare with the support of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha.

Under the motto “Prepared to help, ready to act,” volunteers from the Civil Protection of Herencia, along with other municipalities in the region, have participated in an intensive First Aid and Primary Health Care course. This training program, inaugurated by the delegate of Finance, Public Administrations, and Digital Transformation in the province of Ciudad Real, Inmaculada Jiménez, is a clear example of the commitment of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha to the preparation and constant updating of its volunteers in crucial areas for emergency response.

The course, which took place at the facilities of the Volunteer Group of Valdepeñas, was taught by highly qualified professionals in the field of emergency healthcare. Participants received theoretical and practical training in key areas such as managing first aid kits, first aid techniques, protocols for traffic accidents, Basic Life Support (BLS), and handling emergency situations resulting from environmental, metabolic, and consciousness disorders, among others.

The multidisciplinary approach of the course ensures that Civil Protection volunteers, like those from Herencia, are better prepared to face a wide range of emergency situations. With this knowledge, they can provide vital initial care until the arrival of emergency services, making a difference in critical moments after an accident or incident.

Delegate Inmaculada Jiménez highlighted the importance of this training, not only for the practical value of the knowledge acquired but also for strengthening cohesion and team spirit among volunteers from different municipalities. This course is part of a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the Civil Protection network in the region, ensuring an efficient and coordinated response to any emergency.

The delivery of certificates at the end of the course not only recognizes the dedication and effort of the volunteers but also symbolizes the continuous commitment of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and participating municipalities, like Herencia, to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.

This educational program highlights the vital role played by Civil Protection in our society and emphasizes the importance of continuous training that allows its members to always be prepared to act effectively and compassionately in times of need.
