José Manuel Aragonés Roncero joins the Herencia City Council as a new councilor.

In an atmosphere of anticipation and municipal commitment, José Manuel Aragonés Roncero has taken office as the new councilor of the City Council of Herencia, in an extraordinary plenary session held this Wednesday. Aragonés Roncero, from the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, assumes the responsibilities of Public Works, Gardens, Cleaning, Water, and Cemetery.

The swearing-in ceremony preceded the day’s agenda, which included, among other important points, the drawing of the polling stations for the upcoming European Parliament elections, scheduled for June 9, 2024. This drawing is a standard procedure in the preparation of elections and is essential for the correct organization of the electoral process.

The restructuring of competencies in the government team was another key point of the session. With the inclusion of Aragonés Roncero, José Manuel Bolaños will now lead Economic Promotion and Companies, while Inmaculada Ortega will combine her current functions in Economy and Finance with new challenges in Training and Employment. Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana has been appointed spokesperson for the government team, and Eugenia Díaz-Pacheco will assume the vice-spokesperson role.

This plenary event not only stood out for the formalization of roles within the council but also for the atmosphere of camaraderie and support shown by all members of the Corporation, who extended their congratulations to the new councilor. Mayor Sergio García-Navas expressed his confidence in Aragonés Roncero’s capacity and talent, highlighting his deep commitment to the future of Herencia.

This event represents not only a change in the administrative structure of the City Council but also a promise of continuous progress and dedication towards the citizens of Herencia, who expect to see this new momentum reflected in the improvement of local services and infrastructure.
