Dinner for the Third Age: Emotion and Recognition on a Special Night

Coinciding with the Feast of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, patrons of grandparents, the seventh edition of the Elderly Persons Day Dinner will be held, one of the most anticipated events of the year for this population sector. This gathering, organized by the Elderly Center with the collaboration of the Council, will take place on Friday, July 26th starting at 9:00 PM at the Municipal Auditorium.

Registrations to participate in this event are now open and will remain so until Friday, June 28th. All individuals over 60 years of age registered in the town, or residing in it, can sign up at the Elderly Center from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. With a cost of 15 euros per person, the dinner will be enlivened by the Yesvi Duo, who will provide music and dance for all attendees to enjoy an evening full of emotion and camaraderie.

The councilor of the Elderly Persons area, Conchi Rodríguez-Palancas, has highlighted the importance of this celebration which aims to foster social relationships among people of the same age. “From the Center, we work throughout the year to continue providing our elders with leisure alternatives tailored to their tastes and needs. In a few days, we will fulfill the initiative to bring cinema and premiere movies closer, but we also continue working on projects to expand the range of services we offer,” Rodríguez-Palancas emphasized.

The Elderly Persons Day Dinner has become the culmination of a season full of activities at the Elderly Center, including gymnastics, memory workshops, and various courses to promote active aging. In addition, in the coming weeks, popular summer activities such as hiking and water aerobics will be resumed, which have been very successful among center users.

This event is not only an opportunity to pay tribute to grandparents for their tireless work over the years, but also an occasion to celebrate their vitality and continuous contribution to the community. The councilor has encouraged all elders in the town to sign up and participate in this special night, which promises to be an unforgettable memory for all attendees.
