The Ordinary Plenary of the Comsermancha Services Consortium, held last Thursday, May 9, concluded with the unanimous approval of a crucial budget modification for the development and security of its facilities. Chaired by Rosa Melchor, the session focused on strengthening the infrastructure of the Social and Environmental Integration Board, with an allocation of 1,011,000 euros from treasury surpluses.
During the plenary, Rosa Melchor highlighted the actions taken to improve the financial stability of the consortium, including the implementation of a payment plan with the UTE, responsible for waste collection and treatment. Melchor thanked the municipalities that have contributed to improving the consortium’s liquidity and encouraged others to follow their example to reduce treasury tensions.
The budget modification will allow for the execution of essential projects such as the closure of cells, the acquisition of a new crusher, and the update of electrical and fire safety installations. These improvements are a step forward in Comsermancha’s commitment to sustainability and resource management efficiency.
Additionally, the collaboration agreement with Caixabank was renewed, facilitating the payment of bills for residents of the consortium. The collection report for the first half of 2024 was also presented, showing an increase in waste collection in all fractions, demonstrating the positive impact of the implemented policies.
Other points discussed included the request for summer hours for machinery service, the sale of scrap metal, and the data on collection of packaging and paper-cardboard provided by Ecoembes. The launch of an adapted truck for road irrigation was also announced, improving public service infrastructure.
The plenary concluded with the unanimous approval of the accounts and invoices, reaffirming the commitment of the Comsermancha Consortium to the continuous improvement of its services and the economic stability of the region. This plenary not only reflects progress in administrative and financial management but also advances in the environmental and social commitment of the consortium.
