Herencia was dressed in glory this past Sunday at the Provincial Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship held in Pedro Muñoz, thanks to the outstanding performance of the students from the Municipal Sports Schools. The event was a platform for our young gymnasts to showcase their talent and dedication on the mat.
In the promise category, the Infant Ribbon group, made up of Eva María Pérez de Bustos Statescu, Lucía Núñez, Inés García Moreno, and Cynthia Martín-Toledano Díaz-Flores, took first place. The dedication and synchrony of their movements earned them a well-deserved gold medal.
Lola Gómez-Calcerrada Sánchez-Paulete excelled in the Cadet Hoop category, also taking home the gold with a performance that combined grace and technical precision. Celia Fernández-Montes Millán also did not fall behind, achieving gold in the Pre-Infant Hands-Free category, a recognition of her promising career in rhythmic gymnastics.
Lucía García-Navas Tajuelo also stepped onto the podium with a bronze in Cadet Hoop, while at the base level, Anna Yeghiazaryan Petrosyan emerged victorious in Infant Rope, demonstrating impressive mastery of the apparatus and choreography.
These triumphs are a testament to the effort and passion that these young athletes put into each training session and competition. Their coach, a key figure on this road to success, deserves special recognition for their guidance and constant support.
