During the past weekend, Herencia dressed up to welcome the Inter-school Padel Tournament, an event that brought together around 100 young promising padel players from Herencia, Consuegra, Madridejos, and Villacañas. This tournament not only proved to be a showcase for emerging talent in this sport, but also a meeting point to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship among the youth.
The tournament, held on Saturday and Sunday mornings, was a showcase of skill, strategy, and enthusiasm, where the participants put into practice the skills learned in their respective schools. The closing ceremony of the tournament was attended by Serafín Tajuelo, Sports Councillor of the Herencia City Council, who, along with Adrián de Molina, monitor of the Herencia Sports Schools, and the monitors of the invited schools, was in charge of presenting the trophies to the winners. This act not only served to reward the effort and skill of the young athletes, but also to recognize the importance of sports in shaping values such as respect, discipline, and teamwork.
