Herencia celebrates Farmer’s Day with a roundtable discussion and the 10th Harvest Party.

The municipality of Herencia is preparing to commemorate the Day of the Farmer this coming Saturday, September 23, with a program of events designed to highlight the importance of agriculture and its traditions in the locality.

At 11:00, the Courtyard of the Town Hall will open its doors to host a colloquium entitled “Keys to understanding the new course of the CAP”. This presentation will be given by a distinguished figure in the field: Gracia Canales Duque, Vice Councillor for Common Agricultural Policy and Agro-environmental Policy. The event promises to provide a detailed and up-to-date insight into the Common Agricultural Policy and the challenges and opportunities it represents for the sector.

But the day does not end there. At 12:30, the Plaza de España will fill with music and tradition with the celebration of the 10th Grape Harvest Festival. This event will feature the stellar performance of the Folklore School of the Popular University, which, for this special occasion, will be accompanied by the instrumental ensemble of the Herencia Folklore Group. Both ensembles will offer the public a living display of local traditions and folklore, recalling and celebrating the grape harvest, one of the most deeply rooted festivities in the culture of Herencia.

These events not only seek to celebrate the Day of the Farmer, but also to emphasize the importance of agriculture in the life and history of Herencia. An open invitation to all citizens and visitors to join in this day of celebration, tradition, and reflection.
