In an environmental and community initiative, Herencia celebrated Earth Hour last Saturday with a creative Photo Walk, courtesy of the Youth Area. The activity took place in the emblematic windmills of the town, symbols of the natural and cultural heritage that was sought to highlight during this global environmental awareness event.
Participants, armed with cameras and mobile phones, ventured into the surroundings of the windmills, capturing the essence of the environment with their lenses. This event not only promoted appreciation for the local nature but also encouraged community participation in sustainable actions.
At the end of the walk, back at the Youth Center, a raffle was held in which commemorative t-shirts found new owners among the attendees. A symbolic gesture representing the community’s commitment to the environment.
In the coming days, there is eager anticipation for the publication of a gallery with the photographs taken during the walk. These images not only document the beauty of Herencia’s landscape but also bear witness to the collective will to care for our planet.
