Today, Herencia has become an example of promoting health and physical activity with the celebration of the “7,000 steps X Herencia” march, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Health of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha that has managed to gather more than 500 participants, despite the inclement weather.
From early in the morning, neighbors of all ages gathered to participate in this event that combines sports and socializing, and which included complementary activities directed by Fátima Martín and Gema González, instructors from the Municipal Sports Schools. After the effort, the attendees were able to enjoy a well-deserved and healthy breakfast provided by the local company, Tecnove.
The “7000 steps X” march, more than a one-time event, is part of a broader strategy of the Ministry of Health for promoting an active lifestyle and disease prevention, within the objectives of the Health Plan Horizon 2025. These types of initiatives aim to make physical activity a common practice among the citizens of Castilla-La Mancha.
Today’s event not only served to promote physical activity, but also to strengthen the community fabric and the sense of belonging among the inhabitants of Herencia. The city council wanted to express its gratitude to all the participants and collaborators who, with their enthusiasm and participation, have contributed to the success of this day of health and community well-being.
