Herencia tackles Online Harassment in the context of International Women’s Day.

The feminist association ‘Herencia de Mujeres’ is intensifying social reflection around International Women’s Day with a roundtable discussion focusing on one of the most disturbing issues of today: cyberbullying, considered a new form of violence in the 21st century.

The event, to be held on March 7th at 7:00 PM at the iconic Casino de Herencia, will bring together renowned speakers such as Juan José Tamayo, a philosopher and theologian with a strong feminist perspective; Andrés Carmona, director of IES Hermógenes Rodríguez; Ana Paulina Maza Gómez Chacón, head of studies at CEIP Carrasco Alcalde, and Sagrario Buitrago, a member of the school council and the AMPA of CEIP Carrasco Alcalde.

This gathering of experts aims to facilitate constructive dialogue and provide tools for recognizing and preventing digital harassment, a growing concern in the information age. Participants will share their perspectives and experiences, offering a multidisciplinary approach to the discussion.

The event promises to be a space for learning and awareness, not only for those affected but also for educators, parents, and the wider community interested in safeguarding the integrity of individuals in the virtual environment.

To conclude the event, the audience will be treated to a musical performance by Alicia Portillo, adding a touch of art and hope. Admission is free, demonstrating the commitment of the Association and Herencia to making values-based education and gender equality accessible to the entire community.
