The Youth Department of the municipality of Herencia is getting ready for its anticipated annual event: the XI Night Hiking Route, under the motto “What does the moon fill with?”. This charitable and cultural event will take place on Monday, August 19th and promises to be a memorable night for the participants.
The route will start with the delivery of charity race numbers from 8:30 pm at Plaza de España. The official start is scheduled for 9:30 pm. To participate in the walk, a symbolic collaboration of one euro is requested, the amount of which will be allocated to the projects of the El Uali Association (Friends of the Sahrawi People of Herencia), thus reinforcing the commitment to charitable causes.
The itinerary of the XI Night Hiking Route includes a pleasant walk through the streets of Herencia, which will lead participants to the hermitage of San Cristóbal. From there, the group will begin the ascent towards the first windmill, a journey that offers a unique experience of night hiking. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate footwear, bring water, and, above all, not forget the flashlight to light up the path.
As a novelty, this year the route will feature the special participation of the monologist Franz Gómez, who will offer the monologue titled “The guardian of the mill”. This cultural touch will add an extra dimension to the event, providing entertainment and reflection during the journey.
