Inheritance, known for its heritage wealth and the artistic value of its carvings, is getting ready to celebrate an unforgettable Holy Week. This morning, the mayor Sergio García-Navas, accompanied by councilors Conchi Rodríguez-Palancas, José M. Bolaños, and the team responsible for works, have been finalizing details of the processional routes and the strategic placement of stands and fences, so that the traditions of Holy Week are an enriching experience for both the residents of Herencia and visitors.
With the deployment of additional decorative fencing, the city council seeks not only to guarantee safety but also to enhance the aesthetics of the streets where the processions will pass. The stands installed at key points will offer a privileged view of the floats, allowing spectators to experience the passion of Holy Week with comfort and fullness.
The collaboration between the City Council and the Brotherhoods and Confraternities of Passion aims to promote tourism and the spirit of these solemn days. Herencia expects a Holy Week marked by significant moments: the 25th anniversary of Ntra. Sra. de la Soledad in the town, the adaptation of the Brotherhood of the Holy One to a chapel under renovation, and the debut of a new mantle for the Virgin of Sorrows, a project carried out with dedication and love by the community.
The expectation is high for the proclamation this Saturday, March 23, which will feature the presence of Epi Mora and will be adorned with performances by the Band of Cornets and Drums the Seven Steps, as well as the Musical Group Santa Cecilia. The event, which will take place at the Municipal Auditorium at 8:00 p.m., is one of the many organized by the Brotherhoods and Confraternities on these special dates.
Herencia becomes a lively stage where tradition takes on special relevance, reflecting the joint effort to keep alive a celebration that is both an act of faith and an expression of culture. The Holy Week of Herencia is not only felt in religious fervor but in the human warmth that emerges from the coexistence in the streets, squares, and corners of the municipality.
“It is exciting to see how Herencia transforms in these days, offering a spectacle of faith and art that attracts visitors from all over the region. The commitment of our Brotherhoods and Confraternities to Holy Week is total, and thanks to their dedication, it has become a true tourist and cultural engine for our city,” said the mayor Sergio García-Navas.
The Holy Week of Herencia is a time when the community comes together to intensely experience the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, showing the world the beauty and depth of its traditions. An essential appointment for lovers of history, sacred art, and enduring popular experiences.
