The City Council of Herencia, in an act of solidarity and support for diversity, joins actions in defense of the rights of the LGTBI+ community in collaboration with the Association for Sexual and Gender Diversity, Plural LGTBI Mancha Centro. This institutional gesture reinforces the determination of the local government to ensure the effective equality of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
On Sunday, June 25th, starting at 20:30 hours, the manifesto will be read and the LGTBI+ flag will be placed on the balcony of the City Council. This symbolic act evidences the commitment of the town of Herencia to defending the rights of the LGTBI+ community and the support of the institution for the celebration of International Pride Day.
The event will conclude with the exciting performance of Gran Imperio Reina in their show “Capa a Capa” (Cape by Cape). As a final act and in an impressive visual tribute, the windmills of the town will be illuminated to recreate the flag of the LGTBI+ collective, in a clear demonstration of support for diversity and inclusion.
These acts are celebrated in commemoration of International Pride Day and reinforce the conviction of the local government of Herencia to ensure an environment of respect and acceptance for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
