In a joint effort between various areas of the City Council and led by Mayor Sergio García-Navas and Youth Councillor Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, Herencia has taken a significant step towards supporting and guiding the youth of the town with the creation of the Youth Advisory Service. Under the coordination of the Social Welfare, Youth, and Local Development Agency departments, the service will be staffed by professionals in social work and psychology, who will have the mission of informing, guiding, and monitoring job and professional development opportunities, as well as providing advice for self-employment.
The Youth Advisory Service is presented as a key tool in the fight against job insecurity and youth unemployment in Herencia. But its scope goes beyond merely labor-related issues; it also focuses on mental health care, a fundamental aspect that is often affected during job hunting or entrepreneurship.
