Knowledge and Coexistence Olympics: Students from IES Hermógenes Rodríguez collaborate with the Picazuelo Center.

The Picazuelo Center in Herencia has launched an educational and community initiative with 4th year students from Hermógenes Rodríguez High School. Since last February, these students have been immersed in a series of sessions focused on the theme of the Olympics, where the creation of stories and characters has been the central axis.

During these sessions, the young people have developed a puppet theater project, covering the entire process from character creation to script writing. The culmination of this project will be the performance of their play in various nursing homes in Herencia, providing not only entertainment, but also a valuable intergenerational bridge.

Activities like these reinforce the importance of learning through practice and social interaction, allowing students to apply their creative and collaborative knowledge in a practical and enriching way. In addition, participation in artistic activities such as theater promotes skills like oral expression, empathy, and cooperation, fundamental pillars for the integral development of young people.

At Herencia.net, we celebrate this initiative that combines education, art, and solidarity, and we look forward to the final presentation of the students, confident that it will be an event that enriches both the young actors and the fortunate elderly spectators.
