New adapted aquatic activities promote inclusion in the municipality.

This summer, the City Council of Herencia has launched an innovative initiative to promote adapted sports in collaboration with Asodisal, aiming to offer a specially adapted aquatic activity for children. This new offer is part of the agreement established between both entities, and aims to facilitate access to swimming lessons for children with special needs, aged between 3 and 9 years old.

Mayor Sergio García-Navas and the Councilor of Social Welfare, Conchi Rodríguez-Palancas, recently visited the facilities to closely observe the development of these adapted swimming sessions. Their visit highlighted the commitment of the City Council to inclusion and access to recreational activities for all citizens, regardless of their circumstances.

Asodisal, an organization celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, continues its mission to promote inclusion through sports and physical activity. Throughout the year, the organization carries out various sports activities to promote integration and foster essential values such as discipline, effort, and camaraderie.

The new adapted swimming program complements Asodisal’s ongoing efforts in promoting social inclusion through sports, offering young children the opportunity to learn to swim in an environment that meets their specific needs.
