As part of the actions to improve public safety and prevent possible harm to people and property, the municipality of Herencia has installed two new surveillance cameras. These actions are carried out in accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 4/1997, of August 4th, and have the authorization of the Government Sub-delegation in the province.
The new cameras are already operational. One of them is located near the Municipal Auditorium, covering both the facade of the installation and the intersection of José Roselló Avenue with Antonio Buero Vallejo Street. The other has been installed in the sports area, providing a panoramic view of the road and the paddle tennis courts.
These devices reinforce the work of the Local Police and the Civil Guard, acting as a key tool to guarantee security and tranquility in public spaces. In addition, their preventive function helps to reduce the commission of crimes, infractions, and offenses in the municipality.
The cameras operate 24 hours a day, allowing the detection of possible infractions in real time from the Local Police control room. In case of criminal practices, the recordings are sent to the corresponding judicial or administrative authority to determine the criminal or administrative responsibilities that may apply.
