Last weekend, the Herencia football team hosted Sporting de Alcázar at the Fernández de la Puebla stadium, in a match where the visitors managed to impose themselves with a clear 1-4 victory. Despite the initial effort from the Herencia team, Sporting dominated the game after the first goal from the home team and managed to come back to take all three points.
The first few minutes were exciting for the local fans, as they saw Herencia take the lead thanks to a goal from Luis Fernández Montes. In the 6th minute, a set piece taken from the side went through the entire area without being cleared by the visiting defense, eventually ending up in the back of the net, giving Herencia a momentary lead.
However, as the first half progressed, Sporting de Alcázar took control of the game. The equalizer came shortly before halftime, when Abengózar scored a goal from outside the area with a shot that hit the top corner, closing the first half with a 1-1 scoreline.
In the second half, Sporting de Alcázar came out determined to win the game. In the 49th minute, the referee awarded a penalty for handball in the home team’s area, giving Abengózar the opportunity to score his second goal and put the visitors ahead.
Just three minutes later, in the 52nd minute, Antonio Avilés scored Sporting’s third goal to complete a counterattack initiated once again by Abengózar. Despite Herencia’s attempts to respond, Alcázar’s team continued to control the pace of the game and, in the 76th minute, Gonchi sealed the result with the fourth goal, securing a solid victory for Sporting.
With this win, Sporting de Alcázar now has 21 points, holding onto the second place in the standings, just behind AD San Clemente, who leads Group 1 of the Preferente with 24 points. Sporting’s next match will be at home, where they will face CD San José Obrero, who are coming off a loss and are at the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile, the Herencia team is already preparing for their next challenge in the league, hoping to earn more points and bring joy to their fans once again.
