Spring Cultural Program celebrates the end of the academic year for the University of the People.

The Popular University of Herencia is about to conclude its 2022/2023 course after more than 7 months of work, learning, and shared experiences in its wide range of courses and workshops. To celebrate the end of the course, a cultural program has been organized that includes various events allowing participants to enjoy the talent, ingenuity, and creativity shown throughout the course.

The program starts on Thursday, June 1st, with the “Dancing talent show” gala, featuring Spanish, Classical, Modern, and Sevillanas dance groups. On the following day, the exhibition of works will be inaugurated with live workshops and exhibitions of Ballroom and Folk dances. During the first weekend of June, theatrical performances by the Popular University groups will bring the live shows to a close at the Municipal Auditorium.

The program also includes excursions to enjoy with friends and family, such as the “Flavors of Quijote” trip to Carrión de Calatrava, the cultural trip to Buendia and Huerte in Cuenca, or the guided tour of “Quhesalia.”

This year, the Popular University of Herencia had the participation of 550 people of all ages, a much higher number than in previous years, evidencing the success of the institution. With more than 30 years of history, the Popular University has not ceased to innovate and adapt to the tastes and preferences of its users.

Tickets for the events can be purchased from Monday, May 8th, at the Cultural Center. This June, Herencia will be full of cultural activities to celebrate the end of the Popular University’s academic year, an institution that continues to grow and promote learning and entertainment in the community.
