During the past month of July, Herencia became the epicenter of regional tennis thanks to the celebration of the I Summer Tennis Tournament. An event that attracted around 20 players from different towns and consolidated the interest in this sport in our community.
The tournament was structured in two phases: a main phase and a consolation phase. This ensured that all participants had the opportunity to compete more than once and demonstrate their skills on the court.
In the main draw, Pablo Jiménez managed to win the title, showing a solid and consistent game throughout the entire competition. Jesús Romero, who also displayed an excellent level, took the second position.
On the other hand, in the consolation draw, Fernando Martín took first place, followed by Eduardo Rosado, who secured the runner-up position.
The trophy ceremony took place in the presence of distinguished personalities from the local sports industry. Serafín Tajuelo, Sports Councilor of the Herencia City Council, was present, offering his support and recognition to all players and organizers. Alongside him, Adrián de Molina, the event organizer, highlighted the importance of these types of competitions in promoting sports and social interaction among young people in the region.
Undoubtedly, this first tennis tournament has left an excellent impression, both for the level of the participants and for its organization.
