The Brotherhood of Saint Joseph goes on a pilgrimage to Caravaca de la Cruz.

The Brotherhood of San José, as part of the annual religious trips they organize along with the Azucena Cross, has pilgrimaged this time to the town of Caravaca de la Cruz in Murcia, a place of reference for the worship of the Catholic Church. Since 1998, during the papacy of John Paul II, it has been considered one of the eleven holy cities of this religious denomination, with the privilege of celebrating the Jubilee Year perpetually every seven years around the Holy and True Cross.

The pilgrimage took place on July 28th, and during the visit, the group went to the basilica sanctuary of the Vera Cruz, where they attended the Jubilee Mass. In addition to exploring the city, the attendees also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition “The Mystery Man” about the Holy Shroud.

The photos in the gallery above capture moments from the pilgrimage. This article was published in the online newspaper: Herencia (Ciudad Real). A diary of information in the heart of La Mancha.
