The Civil Protection group of Herencia has been recognized with one of the 16 plaques awarded by the government of Castilla-La Mancha to volunteer groups in the field of civil protection. This honor highlights the trajectories and meritorious actions of teams that, collectively, have stood out for their dedication and effort in emergency management.
Recognition for work in critical situations
In the case of Herencia, the award was granted for their outstanding performance during the severe floods caused by the DANA that affected several towns in the region. Despite being a relatively young group, their commitment and quick response to these emergencies has earned them respect and admiration both locally and in other municipalities where they have provided assistance.
In addition to their intervention during the DANA, the Herencia group has actively participated in other operations, demonstrating organizational capacity and a spirit of solidarity that has made them a reference in the field of civil protection.
An act of recognition and gratitude
The ceremony for the delivery of the plaques and medals took place a few days ago at an event organized by the regional government, where tribute was paid to individuals and groups outstanding in civil protection. Representing Herencia, members of the local group attended along with councilor José Manuel Aragonés, who wanted to accompany them and acknowledge their commitment to the safety and well-being of the community.
Aragonés emphasized the key role of volunteers, stating that “their work is essential to face crisis situations, and their selfless effort reflects the values of solidarity and dedication that we must celebrate and support as a society.”
An example of solidarity and commitment
The recognition of the Herencia group highlights the continuous work they do to protect citizens and support emergency teams in critical situations. Although they have been formed for a short time, they have proven to be a fundamental piece in emergency management, acting with professionalism and commitment in each operation.
This award is not only a source of pride for the group, but also for the entire municipality of Herencia, which sees in these volunteers an example of solidarity and dedication to serving others.
With this recognition, the Herencia group reaffirms their commitment to continue working in civil protection and actively collaborating in the safety and well-being of the community, both locally and regionally.
