The Comsermancha MSW plant opens its doors to visits from groups and educational centers.

In a plenary session that took place on Friday, December 15th, the Municipal Services Community of Comsermancha brought together municipal representatives to discuss various topics of interest and approve important contracts. The president of the community, Rosa Melchor, shared valuable details about the initiatives and projects that will be carried out in the coming year.

One of the most notable initiatives is the 2023 media campaign, which has been launched in collaboration with ECOEMBES. This campaign has involved a wide range of media, both regionally and locally, and has reflected the trend towards digitalization by including numerous digital media. However, the collaboration has also extended to print and radio media, ensuring diverse and effective coverage.

In addition to the media campaign, there was information about an informative campaign aimed at groups in all the municipalities of the community, especially associations of elderly people. The main objective of this campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and promote the correct disposal of solid waste. It is expected that these associations will play a crucial role in introducing recycling habits in the community’s homes.

Regarding the contracts, the procurement of fuel supply for Comsermancha’s vehicles and machinery was carried out. In addition, there was information about the upcoming publication of the contract for the supply of fuel for the vehicles and machinery of the Social and Environmental Integration Board of Comsermancha.

Rosa Melchor also shared an exciting piece of news related to the urban solid waste (USW) plant. A protocol has been developed for visits to the plant, especially visits from students in the region. This protocol will ensure that minors are safe during their visit, as they will not have access to areas with machinery or potential risks.

Finally, in a touching gesture, the workers of Comsermancha and the municipal representatives came together to pay tribute to José Emilio Castellanos Cardenas, who retired after providing valuable services to the institution. President Rosa Melchor presented a plaque in recognition of his dedication and wished him the best in this new stage of retirement.

The December plenary session of Comsermancha marked the closing of a year full of achievements and the promise of an even brighter future in serving the community and responsible management of resources and waste.
