Today, as an act of solidarity and commitment, the Councilor of Social Welfare, Conchi Rodríguez-Palancas, and the Councilor of Equality, Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, visited the local board of the Spanish Association against Cancer in Plaza de España. The reason for this visit is the installation of a fundraising table to support the fight against this disease.
The presence of this table will not end with the morning session. It will also be present during the afternoon on Saturday at the Municipal Auditorium. This event will coincide with the performance of the Axonsou Cultural Association, creating a space for culture and solidarity.
The City Council wanted to express recognition for the work of the Spanish Association against Cancer. The constant commitment, awareness, and visibility of this disease are fundamental aspects that the local administration values and applauds.
“The work carried out by the Association to raise awareness and visibility of this disease is essential,” said both councilors, encouraging citizens to collaborate and actively participate in these acts of solidarity. Undoubtedly, the joint efforts of institutions and associations are key to advancing in the fight against cancer.
