Herencia is getting ready to become the heart of handball thanks to the thirteenth edition of the Quijote’s Handball Cup. The event will take place from June 22-25 and is jointly organized by the Herencia Handball Club and the Municipal Sports Service, with the collaboration of the City Council of Ciudad Real and the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
For four days, handball will be the undisputed protagonist, but it will not be the only activity that will delight the participating teams. A series of parallel activities such as Beach Handball, activities in the Municipal Pool and a musical parade, among others, will also be held.
This year, expectations are high regarding the number of participants. More than 300 registrations from various clubs that will visit Herencia are already confirmed, maintaining the presence of teams from regions such as Andalusia and the community of Madrid, as in previous editions.
The local club and the Municipal Sports Service of Herencia are holding periodic meetings to ensure that all details of the event are perfectly coordinated. Their goal is to provide an unforgettable experience to all participating teams and ensure that, during these four days, handball is the central axis of the locality.
The latest of these meetings was attended by the mayor of Herencia, Sergio García-Navas, and the councilor of the area, Francisco Gallego de la Sacristana. During this meeting, the poster for the thirteenth edition of the Quijote’s Handball Cup was presented, officially initiating the anticipation of the event.
