On Sunday, June 4th, the town of Herencia will host the first edition of the XCO race, a new sports event that will take place in the Sierra de la Horca. This race is part of the XC BTT Cup of the Cycling Federation of Castilla La Mancha, which has a total of five locations, with Herencia being the only town in the province of Ciudad Real to host this type of event.
The race is organized by the Amigos del Plato Grande Cycling Club in collaboration with the Municipal Sports Service of the City Council, and has the support of the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Government and the City Council of Ciudad Real. The event is aimed at both adults and children runners, who can register on the official race website.
The inclusion of the XCO race in the Herencia sports calendar is further evidence of the town’s commitment to promoting sports activities and outdoor sports. Participants will be able to enjoy a competition in a privileged natural environment such as the Sierra de la Horca, sharing their passion for cycling and promoting sports practice among different generations.
