The Carnival of Herencia 2025, a National Tourist Interest Festival, is shaping up to be a historic edition with a program that reinforces the massive and cultural nature of these celebrations. The official presentation, held at the Senior Center, was attended by the mayor, Sergio García-Navas, the Councilor of Culture, Aitor Gallego de la Sacristana, and several street masks, representing the spirit of the Herencia carnival.
A program full of music, color, and tradition
From February 22 to March 5, Herencia will come alive with a schedule full of events for all audiences. One of the most anticipated announcements has been the selection of the pregonera: Eva Isanta, an actress renowned for her participation in successful series such as La que se avecina.
The Carnival Palace, the epicenter of the nighttime festivities, will once again feature performances by top-level artists. Among the confirmed names are Michenlo, Andrés Honrubia, and Raúl Ortiz, national DJ references, as well as orchestras like La Mundial, Maxims, and Jenasan, ensuring the best atmosphere every day.
Record participation in the Offering Parade
This year, the Offering Parade will reach unprecedented numbers with over 3,500 registered participants. A total of 34 groups from 22 different locations will parade through the streets of Herencia in a spectacle that grows in notoriety and participation each year.
To enhance the experience for the public and participants, the number of portable toilets and lighting points will be increased, especially in high concentration areas such as the Offering Parade route and the Carnival Palace area. Additionally, carnival decorations in various areas of the municipality will be strengthened.
A Carnival to experience with all your senses
Herencia stands out not only for its festive atmosphere, but also for its gastronomic richness. During the celebrations, tastings of traditional dishes such as gachas, migas, and chorizos will be held, thanks to the collaboration of the Council of Elders and the group of retired volunteers.
As a novelty, a Tourist Information Point will be inaugurated in Plaza Cervantes, to provide visitors with all the details about the program and the history of this festival.
Commitment to safety and equality
Given the large influx of people, reinforced security measures will be implemented, with the support of the Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection, and Red Cross. Additionally, Violet and Rainbow Points will be set up on nights with higher attendance, with the aim of raising awareness and providing assistance in case of any type of sexist aggression.
Countdown to the great Carnival of Herencia
The streets are already filled with confetti, seamstresses are putting the finishing touches on their costumes, and groups are intensifying their rehearsals. Excitement is growing among residents and visitors to enjoy, once again, a Carnival that promises to be unforgettable.
